The following is our cancellation policy: There is no refund for arriving late or leaving early. A non-refundable deposit is due to reserve your space. Half of the cost is due at booking and the remaining amount is paid 2-weeks prior to arrival. Cancellations 60 days or greater in advance of retreat start date: You will receive a full refund of the 50% down payment, and you can either apply the non-refundable deposit as a credit towards another retreat or forfeit the non-refundable deposit by canceling altogether. The credit will be good for one year from the cancellation date. Cancellations 30-59 days in advance of retreat start date: You will receive half of the 50% down payment back, and you can either apply a non-refundable deposit and 25% as a credit towards another retreat or forfeit these by canceling altogether. The credit will be good for one year from cancellation date. Cancel 29 – 15 days prior to the retreat start date: You will forfeit the full 50% down payment and non-refundable deposit, but you can choose to apply this money as a credit towards another retreat or forfeit completely by canceling altogether. The credit will be good for one year from cancellation date. Cancel 14 days or fewer prior to the retreat start date: you will be charged a 75% cancellation fee. This can be applied as a credit toward another retreat and that credit will be good for one year from cancellation date. No Exceptions to Cancellation Policy: There are no exceptions to our cancellation policy, including but not limited to COVID-19, weather, personal emergencies, flight cancellations, or delays. We highly recommend purchasing Travel Protection Insurance.

All the activities supplied by this retreat carry a degree of risk both to people and equipment, even though enjoyed under proper supervision by qualified instructors. In addition, some activities do require those taking part to have a reasonable standard of health and fitness.

All clients must inform of any medical conditions, illnesses or allergies they may have and any prescribed medication they might be taking prior booking.

This will all be filled out in Forms section of the Welcome Package. The Welcome Package will be sent to you after you book. ALL FORMS & DOCUMENTATION MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING IN ANY ACTIVITY. There will be NO exceptions to this policy.

No one should participate in any activity if they are suffering from a heart condition or are pregnant.

No client should in any circumstances take part in an activity while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication, which may adversely affect their physical abilities.

Getting to Montezuma
This paradise is so free and incredible without crowded beaches, we are truly off the beaten path here. That means that getting to this somewhat remote location requires a commitment to travel, but also that the reward is that much sweeter.

From LIB or SJO there are 3 main modalities of reaching Montezuma:

PLANE

From LIB:
there is currently a single Sansa flight available to Tambor Airport
The flight is approximately 30 minutes and it costs something between $120-$150.

From SJO:
There are multiple flights by either Green Airways and Sansa to Tambor Airport
This terminal is just outside of arrivals at SJO: Upon leaving Arrivals, walk straight ahead to the main boulevard, turn left, and you will see the Domestic Terminal located 500 feet ahead. If in doubt, an airport official will be able to point you in the right direction.

Getting from Tambor Airport to Montezuma:

We can arrange for taxi service or we may be able to pick you up directly; once your flight is booked and confirmed, please contact us and let us know the timing and our team will setup your transportation to the house in Montezuma.

RENTAL CAR
Renting a car from LIB or SJO and driving is another modality for reaching Montezuma. If this is your preference, we strongly recommend flying round trip through LIB rather than SJO, as SJO is a much longer drive and requires timing and catching a ferry to the Nicoya peninsula.

From LIB:
Be prepared for a 3-4 hour drive on partially paved roads with many pedestrians and motor bikes. This is slow going and is difficult after dark.

From SJO:
Be prepared for 6 hours of travel minimum and you will need to catch a ferry across to the Nicoya peninsula. Here is the ferry schedule.

You may also consider looking into any of the modalities below if they are of interest to you:

– Private taxi (Comfortable/direct/ AC) 6 hours each way – Private group or semi private short bus (Comfortable/direct/AC/WIFI) 6 hours each way – Public charter bus (Comfortable/direct/ semi-direct – some buses even have ac and wifi) 6 hours each way

TRAVEL AND FLIGHT INFORMATION
Please double check flight availability before booking the retreat. While this experience includes an amazing personal, soulful journey it does not include the airfare and transportation to and from Montezuma. As a side note, if you decide to extend your stay in Costa Rica, we can guide you on how and where to travel to help you plan your most desired vacation.

To enter and exit Costa Rica, you must bring a valid passport with at least 6 months remaining before expiration date. Most of the countries are not required to issue a Visa to enter. During the check-in of your flight, you might be asked to show a return ticket from Costa Rica before 90 days since the arrival date. You will let immigration know that you are staying at Aves in Montezuma.

All clients must have active medical insurance to participate in all retreat activities.

Citizens/residents from ALL countries are currently allowed to enter Costa Rica. All mandatory requirements have been dropped by the national government since April 1st. You no longer need to get tested to travel back to the US.

We recommend you make your reservation ASAP to make sure you secure your spot as we have limited availability and we fill up fast.

All reservations are made via the True Crescent Coaching & Retreats website in order to secure your spot.
